Hello lovely people! Welcome to my very first Book Club.
As you might have read on my previous post , reading at least one book a month is one of my personal growth resolutions for 2018.
I am super excited to announce my pick for January, and I hope many of you will join me on this journey.
My first Book Club choice is: Elisabeth is Missing by Emma Healey.
Here is the synopsis you can find on the back of the book:
Maud is forgetful. She makes a cup of tea and doesn’t remember to drink it. She goes to shops and forgets why she went. Sometimes her home is unrecognizable – or her daughter Helen seems a total stranger.
But there’s one thing Maud is sure of: her friend Elizabeth is missing. The note in her pocket tells her so. And no matter who tells her to stop going on about it, to leave it alone, to shut up, Maud will get to the bottom of it.
Because somewhere in Maud’s damaged mind lies the answer to an unsolved seventy-year-old mystery. One everyone has forgotten about.
Everyone, except Maud…
I’m excited to dive right into it, and I hope it will be a great read!
Is anyone going to join me in reading this first book?
If you are going to participate, read to the end of chapter 9 by January 15th.
I’ll be blogging a little catch-up post, and sharing my thoughts so far.
I look forwards to reading your opinions too!
Have a great day guys!
Bye for now.
P.S. You can order your copy of Elisabeth is missing here:
P.P.S. Should you be sharing pictures of you reading along with me on Instagram, do remember to hashtag #ellysdiarybc so we can all find and support each other during this ride!
